On Thursday night I was lucky enough to be invited to the Blogosphere Magazine Issue 10 Cover Launch in London. It was a great chance to see the amazing new cover and meet lots of wonderful bloggers. In 2013 editor, Alice Audley saw a gap in the market for a magazine written by bloggers and aimed at bloggers- Et Voila, Blogosphere was born. Since then it has only gone from strength to strength with a now loyal following and a lot of newbies (like me) who want to be inspired and learn more about how they can take their own blogs that step further.
The magazine features a top, well-known blogger on the cover of each issue and this new edition was no exception. This time round it was the turn of the lovely Victoria from In The Frow ….
I have been reading In The Frow for a while now, so it was great to get to meet the person behind the blog. Her interview in the magazine is a must read, whether you are a blogger or not. Victoria sheds light on the pros and cons of blogging as well as how we all should stick together and support one another online.
The photos that were chosen for the issue also really sum up Victoria and her blogger identity: elegant, stylish and classic.
During the evening we got to meet some fabulous brands such as Go Get Glitter who really are a girl’s party/festival make-up must have! I wish I could sparkle like that everyday. The girls were so friendly and easy to talk to, even though I couldn’t settle on a colour.
It also wouldn’t be a party without a delicious array of pink candy to make the evening even sweeter. With a sleek and chic ambience and a lively atmosphere the room was buzzing with excitement, which wasn’t just down to the heightened sugar levels.
We then got talking to Shea Moisture who have a brilliant collection of hair and skin products that smell amazing and are free of any nasty chemicals. I tried out one of their hair masks at home and loved the luxurious, super soft feel. It is definitely a brand that I will be buying in the very near future.
The chosen cover itself was met with a huge round of applause for the Blogosphere team. You couldn’t really blame anyone in the room for wanting to get stuck in and read the magazine straight away, that’s for sure.
For me, as a blogger and a Journalism student, Blogosphere is a much needed addition to the print world. If you’re looking for new reading material I really recommend it, even if you’re not a blogger and just want to find out how you can grow your social media platforms, creative business ideas or your photography. Blogging has become huge over the last few years and it continues to do so. The fact that a magazine like this exists on the shelves is something that certainly shows how important a medium it is in today’s world- It’s time to celebrate and realise that blogging is serious business. Pick up your copy of Issue 10, available now, you won’t be disappointed.
And thank you Blogosphere for allowing me to be at the launch, I love the new magazine and can’t wait to see what’s next.
